ELISA SOWELL

I am an Architecture, Urban and Interior Design professional with a passion for tea and travel. Originally from Veracruz, Mex., I started my Architecture and Interior Design studies before moving to the US. After earning a Certificate in Interior Design from Gestalt Veracruz, I continued my Architecture journey at Texas A&M University graduating with a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architectural Studies and a minor in Urban and Regional Planning in 2014. Shortly after, I started working at Arcadis (formerly Texas- IBI Group) getting my feet wet in the industry for the next couple of years. To further my education, and my desire to get licensed, I pursued an M.ARCH with a Certificate in Community + Build from Clemson University graduating in 2019.
As a Project Designer at Arcadis, I currently work from home in both K-12 and mixed used projects raging from conceptual design to CA. In addition, I have been supporting our interiors department with the production and design of graphics for our education projects.

At my previous position as a Project Manager at Lique Design Studio, I worked on urban, commercial and residential projects while assisting in mentoring new staff and pursuing my architectural license. My job consisted in proposing conceptual designs, client, consultants and city coordination, master planning, production, 3D visuals, and residential interior design. Having worked on over 45+ projects throughout my professional career, ranging from conceptual design to CA, I've had the opportunity to experience all stages of design and construction in Architecture.

The tremendous love for my profession has taken me and my family travelling whenever we can. Exploring the urban fabric and experiencing the architecture of old and new cities is always in the itinerary... along with some good tea!
